Research Seeding Grants Program

The Research Seeding Grants project is an integral part of the Community Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Research Network. Grants of up to $10,000 will be available to organisational members of either Mental Health Coordinating Council (MHCC) or Network of Alcohol and other Drugs Agencies (NADA) to develop their research capacity in a practice related area.

Available from July 1 2012, it is hoped that the grants will assist organisations to better prepare themselves to undertake research in the future. For example, grants could be used to try to clarify potential research questions, explore emerging practice issues, and/or to undertake preparatory work towards applications for larger research funding.

Round 2 (Rural and Regional*) will have a specific focus on rural and regional areas and organisations based or operating in those areas. These organisations must be ordinary members of MHCC and proposals must otherwise follow the original guidelines.
