My Sexual Health Matters
Mental health issues and medications can affect sexual health. Only one third of people having sexual side effects because of medications will mention them to their doctor and silence and embarrassment for all concerned can prevent sexual issues being discussed.
MHCC has updated and released a new on-line publication of the information booklet "My Sexual Health Matters" aimed at people experiencing mental health issues with concerns about their sexual health. It has been developed with consumers and other experts. You can download it and print it on your own printer. This booklet is also good for mental health workers. You should also download the Where to go for help information sheet to accompany this booklet. It has contact details if you want to follow up any concerns or get more information.(MHCC does not distribute any hard copies of the booklet or information sheet)
