Summary
NSW Health has provided $4 million to MHCC to administer the IGP, for the purpose of improving the quality of the NGO mental health sector in NSW. To date, over $3 million has been allocated to 54 NGOs for service improvement projects, and two sector-wide quality improvement projects are underway. MHCC provides quarterly progress reports to NSW Health.
Anticipated Outcomes
• Identified accreditation and quality improvement status of all mental health NGOs in NSW
• Improved service delivery due to infrastructure development

• Reference Group overseeing IGP – members from NSW Health, NADA, NSWCAG, and MHCC
• Jenna Bateman, CEO (in consultation with the Board)
• Edwina Pickering, Project Consultant
Opportunities for involvement:
Sector wide opportunities for mental health funded NGOs, as well as other NGOs that provide mental health activities funded by other bodies. There will be no further funding rounds, however current opportunities relate to input to the RCOM and Mapping Projects.
