Access, Equity and Assistance

Our aim is to offer access to training opportunities on an equal, fair and inclusive basis. Where our training programs have a limited number of available places, these will be filled in order of completed bookings.

We recognise that everyone is different and not everybody learns in the same way. We will assist all participants in their efforts to complete our training programs and achieve the required competency standards, and make every endeavour within our capacity to assist with any language, literacy, numeracy or other access requirements. If you are aware of any matter that might restrict your completion of the training or assessment, you should advise us before the start of the course so we can make sure that we give you the right assistance.

Assessments

To achieve nationally recognised qualifications, course participants will be required to do follow up reading and apply knowledge and skills in the workplace by completing assessment tasks. These assessment tasks will be relevant, practical and job oriented. Where appropriate and possible we aim to provide flexible assessment processes to support you in completing assessment tasks. Examples of assessment tasks are listed under each course in this training calendar however it is important to note that assessment tasks may change. Contact us if you wish to discuss any particular assessment requirements or advise us if there are any special conditions that may hinder your completion of any assessment task.

Complaints and Appeals

It is important that you are aware that we have a process in place to resolve any general complaints that you may have, as well as a specific appeal and reassessment process for assessment results. The details of both processes are contained in our Participant Handbook, which you should read before you commence any of our courses
