Leadership in Action (LIA)

Current and emerging managers from the community sector are invited to engage in a dynamic and unique course based on Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence theory. This course will provide a variety of useful and practical tools which will increase effectiveness as a manager and enhance leadership skills.

The course is suitable for new and existing managers in community services including frontline supervisors, team leaders, program managers and coordinators. Participants must have the opportunity to supervise staff throughout the program.

Choose Your Training Pathway

  1. New managers or managers 'acting-up' in a management role with less than 2 years experience:
    • 12 month program
    • Total of 10 days face to face training and workplace based activities
  2. For experienced managers with 2 or more years experience
    • 6 month "Express" program
    • Total of 8 days face to face training and workplace based activities
