Visionary leadership is increasingly recognised as a critical change
agent in community mental health services
MHCC's Leadership in Action Program has been designed and developed using the most contemporary schools of thought regarding the question of “what makes a great leader and manager”. The aim of the program is to strengthen leadership and management capacity. At the completion of the course participants will have achieved a nationally recognised qualification, the Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management.

The Leadership in Action Program includes:

• Creative problem solving: action learning
• Leading and developing others
• Effective human resource and financial management
• Creating learning environments
• Genuine reflective practice
The Leadership in Action Program uses a mixed-delivery mode to minimise time away from the workplace and promote workplace learning. This includes:

• Self-directed learning • Establishment of a community of practice • Workplace projects |
Who is this for?
This course is suitable for existing workers with – or aspiring to – leadership/management roles in community mental health services including CEOs, Frontline supervisors, Team Leaders, Program Managers and Program Coordinators.
