Courses

MHCC offers courses that provide professional development and the enhancement of skills for the community mental health sector. The courses are available either as 1 or 2 day programs and you can opt to complete one or many of the programs listed below.

Many of these courses also contribute to the completion of the Certificate IV in Mental Health Work (Non-Clinical) CHC41102. To have a course contribute you need to complete the related assessments tasks provided by the trainer. The Certificate IV in Mental Health Work (Non-Clinical) CHC41102 has been accepted by member organisations of MHCC as the voluntary minimum training standard for mental health work in NSW.

Our courses can be done in any order, however most workers find it useful to initially complete the 2 foundation courses “Orientation to Mental Health Work” and “Working with people with mental health issues”.
