‘Aboriginal Mental Health’ Trainer & Projects Officer

Full Time/Part Time - Contract 2 years

This position is responsible for training and assessing Aboriginal courses and other courses within the Learning and Development Unit and assisting with Aboriginal related projects.

Essential Criteria
• Extensive experience working within an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander context
• Extensive networks within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities
• Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or willingness to complete
• Demonstrated experience as a trainer within a community services context
• Knowledge and/or experience of mental health and recovery issues
• Excellent oral, written, teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience of Microsoft Office programs / IT Literacy
• Drivers license
• Willingness to travel within NSW

Desirable Criteria
• Experience in project work
• Awareness of consumer and carer perspectives
• Commitment to OH&S, EEO, Anti Discrimination and Ethical Practice

Mental Health Connect Course Coordinator

Full Time (5 days per week) - Contract 2 years

This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the MH Connect Course

Essential Criteria
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or willingness to complete
• Demonstrated experience as a trainer within a community services context
• Demonstrated experience coordinating effective teams and programs
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and supervising others
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience of Microsoft Office programs / IT Literacy
• Drivers license
• Willingness to travel within NSW

• Knowledge & experience of mental health issues
• Awareness of consumer and carer perspectives
